A popular destination for tourists looking to explore the beauty of the Norfolk countryside, Sheringham is within easy driving distance of Blakeney, Cley, Cromer, Holkham, Hunstanton and Wells - and there are good taxi, bus and rail services available too.
Things to do:
Sheringham is part of the Peddar's Way trail, and is a great place to stop over if you're hiking the coast. If you like walking then you shouldn't miss the fantastic grounds of Sheringham Park - the rhododendron display of late Spring is not to be missed!
The North Norfolk Railway, or "Poppy Line" is well worth a visit, attracting thousands of tourists and picking up at Sheringham for trips to Holt and Weybourne.
For Golfer's, Sheringham Golf Course features 18 cliff-top holes with breathtaking coastal views and inviting clubhouse.
Cley Marshes and the Pensthorpe Bird Sanctuary near Fakenham are a bird watcher's dream, attracting thousands of annual visitors.
Sheringham Little Theatre puts on a lot of excellent entertainment, and the local pubs and clubs often have live bands during the summer months. There are often summer concerts featuring big names at Blickling Hall and Holkham Estate as well during high season.
Privately owned Military Museum the Muckleburgh Collection in Weybourne is well worth a visit.
When the weather is nice, a day out to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve is fun for the whole family and your can get boat trips to see the seals from Morston and Blakeney Quay. Seal trips are available from Temples, Bishop's and Beans among others.
